Ingredients
- Chana 2 cups (250 GM)
- Onion 1 large chopped
- Ginger a small piece
- Garlic 6
- Shallots 4-5
- Ripe Tomato 2
- Green chilly 2 chopped
Dry masala
- Jeera 1tsp
- Clove 4
- Cardamom 2
- Cinnamon a small stick
- Pepper cones 5
- Coriander 1 tsp
- Dry red chilly 2
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Red chilly powder 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder 1tbsp
- Salt
Preparation
Dry roast jeera clove cardamom pepper cones coriander and red chilly.
Grind it to power. Keep aside.
Grind tomato shallots ginger and garlic to puree form.
Cook the soaked chana with salt.
Mash 2 table spoon of cooked chana.
Heat 3 table spoon of oil add onion and green chilly saute till onion turns golden brown.
Add the tomato puree cook till oil gets separated.
Add turmeric powder red chilly powder coriander powder and grounded masala saute till the raw smell goes.
Add the required salt for onion and tomato.
Add the mashed chana and mix well
Add the mashed chana and mix well
Now add the cooked chana to this and mix well.
Add required amount of water and let it boil till the required consistency.
Garnish it with coriander leaves and chopped onion.
PS:- You can put a tea bag while cooking chana and remove it.
