Ingredients
- Yogurt 1/2 cup
- Oil 1/4 cup
- Flour 1+1/4 cup
- Powdered sugar 3/4 cup
- Baking powder 1 tsp
- Baking soda 1/2 tsp
- Milk 1/4 cup
For soaking
- Sugar 2 tbsp
- Water 1/4 cup
- Honey 1/4 cup
Spread
- Strawberry jam/any flavour of your choice 1/4 cup
- Honey 1 tsp
- Desiccated coconut to spread on top.
Procedure
In a bowl mix yogurt and oil till it gets combined.
Sieve in the flour, sugar, baking powder and baking soda.
Mix in using cut and fold method.
Add in milk and mix.
Pour the batter into the greased pan.
Bake at preheated oven at 180° for 20 to 25 min.
Cool completely.
Syrup
Dissolve sugar in water and bring it to boil. Add honey and mix well. Remove from flame.
Poke the cake using a fork and brush the syrup on it.
Spread
Heat a pan mix the jam and honey well without lumps. Donot over heat.
Spread it over the cake and garnish it with desiccated coconut.
Cut into pieces and serve.
