1. Okra (Ladiesfinger/Bhindi) – 10 nos. (around 1 inch piece sizes)
2. chilly powder — 2tsp
3. turmeric powder — 1/2 – 3/4 tsp
4. corriander powder — 1 tbsp
5. tamarind a small ball
6. oil — as required
7. half onion sliced
8. salt as reqd.
9. curry leaves
10. mustard
Method
soak tamarind in water
mix the masala powders in a bowl with little water
take some oil in a pan saute okra for 5 – 10 mins
keep it aside
heat a tbsp of oil in a vessel add the paste to it and saute well
add 1 cup of water and bring it to boil
add the fried okra to it and mix well
once the okra is cooked add the tamarind water and salt as required
remove it from flame
for seasoning
heat small kadai add 2 tsp of oil heat it add 1 tsp of mustard some curry leaves and onions saute well and mix it to the curry.
**Goes well with hot rice….
