Ulli chamanthi


Ingredients

Shallots (Small onions) - 1 cup
Red chilly - 6-8 nos (reqd. upon the spiciness u want)
salt
oil

Method

Heat oil in a kadai.
Fry the red chilies till it turns brown.
Take them out and keep aside.
In the same oil fry the shaolts.
Let it cool for sometime.
Now transfer it to grinding jar add salt and grind them with little water (do not add more water)
tranfer it to a bowl. Add 2 tsp of oil to it and mix.

Can use big onion if shallots are not available but shallots tastes good
This goes well with idly, dosa and vada.
