Aloo Mutter

Ingredients
  1. Aloo - 2
  2. peas - 1/2 cup
  3. onion - 1
  4. ginger - shredded 1 tsp
  5. garlic - crushed 2 cloves
  6. tomato - 1
  7. green chilly - 2
  8. turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  9. red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
  10. corriander powder - 1 tsp
  11. garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  12. vegetable masala - 1 tsp
  13. cumin seeds
  14. ghee 1 tsp
  15. water as required
Method
  1. Boil  potatoes in a pressure cooker for 1 or 2 whistles.
  2. peal off the skin and cut them into cubes.
  3. cut onion and tomato.
  4. I have used frozen peas. If you don have that, you have to soak the peas for atleast 8 hrs and cook it.
  5. heat ghee in a wok, add cumin seeds when it sputter add green chilly, ginger and garlic. saute them.
  6. add onion and saute till it is transparent.
  7. add tomato, and all dry masala powders.
  8. saute them for few minutes.
  9. now add potato and peas mix them well so that the masalas are coated well.
  10. add water and boil it till the gravy turns thicker.
curry is ready to serve.
