Ingredients
- Green moong dal -1 cup
 - Jeera 1tsp
 - Onion 1 medium chopped
 - Tomato 1 medium chopped
 - Garlic chopped 1tsp
 - Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
 - Red chilly powder 1/2 tsp
 - Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
 - Garam masala 1/4 tsp
 - Salt to taste
 - Green chilly 2 chopped
 - Oil
 - Coriander leaves
 
Preparation
- Wash and soak the dal for 2 hrs
 - Heat oil in the cooker add jeera/ cumin seed let it splutter.
 - Add chopped onion let it turn golden then add garlic, green chilly saute for few mins.
 - Add tomato , turmeric powder, red chilly powder, coriander powder and garam masala. Saute till the oil separates out.
 - Add the moong dal give it a good stir.
 - Close the cooker it with the lid and give upto 3 whistle.
 - Allow the pressure to get released and open.
 - If required more water add and taste the salt too. If required you can add at this point of time. And allow it boil to required consistency.
 - Transfer to the serving bowl and garnish it with coriander leaves.
 
           It can be served with white rice or roti or chapathi.
